CONDITIONS WE DON’T HANDLE

At Priority Paediatrics Emergency Care, our mission is to provide exceptional after-hours Paediatric Emergency and Paediatrics General Practice care in North Adelaide, however there are some conditions we don’t do. Please read the below conditions that we don’t handle.

WHAT WE DON’T HANDLE

Acute Behavioural Disorders

ABD is a phrase used largely by non-psychiatric emergency staff to describe a clinical presentation of highly agitated, disturbed and often aggressive behaviour and clinical signs of physiological compromise

Category 1: Chest pain, severe shortness of breath

Category one is a critically ill patient who needs life-saving intervention. Category two is reserved for patients whose current condition is likely to destabilise to a category one if treatment is not administered in a short amount of time.

Motor Vehicle Accidents requiring acute care

Involving a collision amongst another motor vehicle, pedestrian, animal, or stationary object.

Life/Limb-threatening Emergencies

Any event that a prudent lay person would believe threatens his or her life or limb in such a manner that a need for immediate medical care is created to prevent death or serious impairment of health.

Welcome to Priority Paediatrics Emergency Care in North Adelaide, where we combine compassionate care with exceptional expertise.
